The Pen Pal Program brings together Burton Elementary School students and Huntington Woods seniors for the purpose of becoming acquainted through letter writing.  With this project, students experience the fun of getting mail, and have the opportunity to get to know someone of another generation while practicing the fine art of letter writing.  If this is something you might enjoy, contact Jennifer Furlong at 248-581-2712 or email to become a Pen Pal.

Offered in the Fall, the Driver Safety Program provides information that can help participants 55+ learn how to deal with the effects of aging on driving.  There are no tests.  The results of your participation in the Driver Safety course have no bearing on your driver's license.  The goal is self-awareness and improving driving strategies which should make you safer on the road.  The Public Safety Department generously supports this program by underwriting registration costs for Huntington Woods residents.
